Style Trend: Hoop Earrings

Hoop earrings have always been a classic. Just the mention of their name bring up memories of the hoop style icon Sade **cue Soldier of Love anyone?** and other stylish women like J.Lo.

A style must-have, hoop earrings have stood the test of time and become a universal style piece through the decades. So it was a no-brainer having it as part of the Essence collection.

When designing the Essence Double Hoop Earrings, the key points for the piece were:

  + create a pair of hoops for an easy transition from work to play or day to night.
  + hoops that feel comfortable and give you, the wearer that touch of elegance and finally, 
  + give the classic hoop design a little twist of my own.

For me, this twist became the highlight and fun part while designing this piece. I decided to give twice the charm of this classic piece by adding an extra hoop in the earring but at the same time, remembering to keep the piece in line with the rest of the collection and the inspiration behind the collection.
